It focuses on studying the composition, properties, and reactions of matter, making it a key pillar of industrial advancement. Progress in chemical sciences has sparked a true industrial revolution, with significant impacts on various aspects of economic, social, and environmental life. Industrial development is one of the most prominent outcomes of applying chemistry. Chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries rely on chemical principles to transform raw materials into high-value products. For instance, chemistry has enabled the development of new materials such as polymers, alloys, and nanomaterials, which are now used in engineering, medical, and technological industries, thereby enhancing production efficiency and product quality. Chemistry also plays a central role in supporting sustainable development through what is known as green chemistry, which aims to design chemical processes and products that minimize the use of hazardous substances and reduce waste generation.
