In implementation of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace, and Security / Protection and Prevention Pillar, specifically the fifth paragraph addressing negative phenomena that women may face—such as domestic violence, harassment, electronic blackmail, and drugs—and ways to confront these issues in accordance with the law, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division and the Women’s Affairs Committee of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering Department, organized an awareness seminar entitled:
“Violence Against Women: Causes, Effects, and Means of Confrontation.”
The seminar addressed the most prominent forms of violence against women in society, explaining the social and psychological causes of these phenomena and their negative impacts on the family and society. It also reviewed legal and educational approaches to addressing and preventing such issues.
The seminar witnessed the attendance of a number of students who actively participated through questions and discussions, contributing to raising community awareness about the importance of respecting women’s rights and promoting a safe and inclusive educational and professional environment.
