The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University, under the supervision of the Women’s Affairs Division and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs representatives of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries, organized an awareness seminar entitled “Gender Discrimination in Society and the Labor Market.”
This activity was implemented in compliance with the Third National Plan for Women, Peace, and Security – Protection and Prevention Pillar (2025), specifically Paragraph Five addressing negative phenomena that women may face.
The seminar addressed the following topics:
The concept of gender discrimination and its various forms in society and the labor market.
The social, economic, and professional impacts of discrimination on women.
National and international laws and policies related to women’s rights and equal opportunities.
Strategies for promoting gender equality in the workplace and the university community.
The importance of awareness-raising and building a supportive environment that ensures equal opportunities for all individuals.
Participants praised the positive interaction with the initiative, emphasizing the importance of continuing such activities that contribute to strengthening women’s rights and achieving a fair and equitable environment.
