Engineer Mohammed Abdul Karim Razouqi, from the Biomedical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, organized a workshop titled “Electrosurgical Unit: Concept, Working Mechanism, and Medical Applications.” The workshop aimed to introduce first-year students to the electrosurgical unit, its mechanism of action, and its uses in modern surgical procedures. It also highlighted its basic components and the safety standards adopted when using it within healthcare institutions. Furthermore, the workshop aimed to raise awareness among students and medical staff about modern technologies and to develop their scientific and practical skills.
This workshop supports several Sustainable Development Goals, including: Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting medical knowledge and improving the quality of health services; Goal 4 (Quality Education) by providing specialized scientific training; and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by supporting technological advancements in the medical field.
