“When Art Paints the Courage of the Homeland” An Artistic Celebration at the College of Fine Arts, University of Al-Mustaqbal

On the occasion of the Iraqi Army Day, the College of Fine Arts at the University of Al-Mustaqbal, represented by its Dean, Prof. Dr. Mazen Hadi Kazzar, and under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, organized a national artistic celebration entitled “When Art Paints the Courage of the Homeland.” The event expressed pride in the sacrifices and heroism of the Iraqi Army and its vital role in protecting the nation. The celebration featured a variety of artistic performances, most notably theatrical and musical arts, which harmonized with the national spirit of the occasion and presented creative works that embodied patriotic values in refined and expressive forms. A distinguished theatrical performance was presented by students of the College of Fine Arts / Department of Art Education. The students managed and implemented the event’s activities under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ammar Nazim Hadi, reflecting their artistic awareness and creative abilities. The college’s musical chanting group also participated alongside a group of talented students and artists. Among the participants were artist Aref Al-Abdoun and artist Hussein Muslim, reaffirming the essential role of art in strengthening national identity and promoting a sense of belonging. This celebration aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by supporting creative education, enhancing students’ practical skills, and emphasizing the role of arts in cultural and social development.
