The Biomedical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering organized a volunteer awareness campaign to promote gender equality, under the supervision of Dr. Alaa Mohammed Hussein Wais, and with the participation of a select group of faculty members and students. The campaign aimed to raise awareness of the importance of achieving justice and equal opportunities for both genders within the university environment, and to foster a culture of mutual respect and active participation. The campaign included the distribution of informational brochures highlighting the role of academic institutions in supporting gender equality and empowering women. This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 5 (gender equality) and underscores the College of Engineering's commitment to its societal and developmental role in preparing a generation aware of social justice and human rights issues.
