As part of the efforts of the faculty members of the College of Administrative Sciences to support the educational process and enhance the academic content of university curricula, an English-language textbook entitled “Managerial Accounting” has recently been published. The book is authored by Prof. Dr. Nassif Jassim Al-Jubouri, Head of the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Izz Al-Din Hassan, Head of the Department of Accounting.
This textbook is intended for fourth-year students in the Accounting Departments and offers specialized academic content that keeps pace with the requirements of the modern business environment, with a clear focus on developing analytical skills and strengthening students’ ability to support and make managerial decisions. The book has been prepared in accordance with an approved academic methodology that balances theoretical foundations with practical applications, in alignment with the curriculum approved by the Deans’ Committee.
The book represents a valuable addition to the academic library, as it contributes to consolidating students’ understanding of the role of managerial accounting in planning, control, and performance evaluation, in addition to its role in preparing qualified accounting professionals capable of meeting labor market demands. The book comprises nine academic chapters, each concluding with a set of multiple-choice questions, theoretical questions, and practical exercises, thereby enhancing the applied aspect and serving the educational objectives of the course.
