Mustaqbal University Achieves a Major Academic Milestone, Leading Locally and Advancing Globally in the 2026 Webometrics Ranking Mustaqbal University has achieved a prominent academic accomplishment that reflects its leadership and excellence in higher education, securing first place among private universities in Iraq and making significant progress internationally in the 2026 Webometrics global ranking. The university recorded a remarkable leap in its global ranking, advancing from 3224 in the previous edition to 1967 in the latest edition, achieving a jump of 1,257 positions at once. This advancement clearly indicates significant development in the university’s academic, research, and digital performance, and strengthens its presence in the international academic arena. This achievement is attributed to the university’s continuous efforts in high-quality scientific research, academic publishing in global databases, enhancing the digital presence of its platforms and websites, and developing scientific and administrative infrastructure in accordance with international university ranking standards. In this context, the President of Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi, praised the great efforts of the academic and administrative staff, affirming that this achievement confirms the university’s leadership among private higher education institutions in Iraq and serves as a motivation to continue excelling both locally and internationally. Dr. Majdi also emphasized the importance of sustaining institutional efforts and integrating the work of colleges, research centers, and supporting units.
