An awareness campaign entitled “Skills for dealing with anxiety and academic stress”

The Biomedical Engineering Department, in collaboration with the College of Engineering at Future University, organized an awareness campaign entitled “Skills for Dealing with Anxiety and Academic Stress” on Wednesday, 2/2, 2026, as part of the university’s efforts to support mental health and promote a positive learning environment. The campaign was organized by the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Committee, under the supervision of Ms. Raghad Safaa Mohammed, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the Dean’s Office, and with the oversight of Assistant Lecturer Zainab Sattar Jabbar, Engineer Zainab Ali Jabr, and Engineer Hussein Hadi Hussein. The campaign aimed to empower students to understand the nature of anxiety and academic stress, and to acquire the necessary psychological and behavioral skills to manage them positively. This contributes to improved academic performance and psychological well-being, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 on good health and well-being, Goal 4 on quality education, and Goal 8 on decent work and economic growth. The campaign witnessed positive student engagement, with participants emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in supporting their mental health and helping them face academic challenges.
