In line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), a Master’s thesis defense was held at the University of Babylon / College of Information Technology for Ms. Fatima Haider Jasim Al-Azawi, a faculty member in the Department of Optometry Technologies, College of Health and Medical Technologies, Mustaqbal University.
The thesis was entitled:
“Hybrid Deep Learning Approach for Network Anomaly Detection Based on Sparse Autoencoder and Convolutional Neural Network.”
The thesis was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Amir Kazem Hadi and was defended in a rigorous scientific and academic atmosphere that reflected the advanced level of the research and the growing interest in employing artificial intelligence and deep learning techniques in the fields of network security and cyberattack detection.
The study presented an intelligent and efficient model for anomaly detection in modern network environments, contributing to the development of advanced technical solutions to address the increasing security challenges in cyberspace. The results demonstrated high efficiency and performance compared with traditional methods.
At the conclusion of the defense, the thesis was awarded a grade of Excellent, in recognition of its scientific value and distinguished research quality.
This thesis is part of the scientific and research efforts supported by Mustaqbal University, enhancing the quality of higher education and reaffirming its position as the first private university in Iraq.
