Under the patronage of the esteemed Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Rodhan Salman, Dean of the College, the College of Education – Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized an awareness and guidance lecture entitled “Ethics of the University Student” for first-year students of the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences. The lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Thanaa Baha’a Al-Din Abdullah, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College, on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., in Hall 108, Humanities Building. The lecture was attended and participated in by Assistant Lecturer Jaafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi and Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Amer Al-Marzouki. The lecture addressed the concept of ethics and the importance of adhering to university ethics, academic ethics, ethics of dealing with others, ethics of self-learning, and the obligations toward the academic institution. It also discussed the ethical characteristics that a university student should possess and ways to build an ethical and academic personality that distinguishes the student from other groups in society, enabling them to serve as a role model in behavior and conduct and to become a positive individual capable of contributing to community development after graduation. At the conclusion of the lecture, practical guidance and advisory tips were provided.
