Under the patronage of the respected Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Rodhan Salman, Dean of the College, the College of Education – Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized an awareness-guidance lecture entitled “The Educational, Psychological, and Social Dimensions of the Anniversary of the Birth of Imam Al-Mahdi (AJ)” for first-year students of the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences. The lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Deen Abdullah, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the college, on Thursday الموافق 5/2/2026 at 9:00 a.m. in Hall 108, Humanities Building. Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Deen addressed the psychological dimensions of the occasion, emphasizing that psychological support and belief in a better future grant individuals inner strength to face the challenges of modern life, reduce feelings of frustration caused by psychological pressures, strengthen belonging and religious-spiritual identity, deepen reassurance and psychological balance, and reinforce belief in the possibility of finding solutions to the problems individuals encounter. Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Kadhim Moula also participated, presenting the educational dimensions of the occasion, which include nurturing hope and optimism, fostering responsibility, and promoting moral values. In addition, Lecturer Mohammed Amer Al-Marzouki discussed the social dimensions, highlighting the promotion of positive social action, strengthening social solidarity, and reminding the community of its responsibility in building an aware generation. At the conclusion of the lecture, practical guidance and counseling advice was provided at the individual, societal, and intellectual levels. The speakers emphasized that this anniversary is not merely a historical celebration, but rather a life project linking the past, present, and future, inviting us to work today to build a better tomorrow.
