College of Engineering Technology Continues the Second Day of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week Activities

Al-Mustaqbal University continued the activities of the second day of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week, with active participation from the College of Engineering Technology and the attendance of a number of academic figures, faculty members, and students, within the framework of promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the university environment. The event opened with a speech delivered by the Dean of the College of Engineering Technology, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, in which he emphasized the importance of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week in consolidating the concepts of entrepreneurship and innovation, and its role in preparing an aware generation capable of transforming academic knowledge into productive projects that serve society and strengthen the national economy. The event was attended by Professor Dr. Mudhafar Al-Zuhairi, Scientific and Academic Supervisor and Head of the Entrepreneurship Unit, along with the heads of departments of the college, a number of faculty members, and students. Professor Dr. Salwan Obaid Al-Khafaji also delivered a scientific lecture that addressed entrepreneurship and its importance in developing students’ innovative capacities, as well as the mechanisms for transforming creative ideas into implementable entrepreneurial projects. He highlighted the pivotal role of universities in supporting innovation and encouraging an entrepreneurial mindset among youth. The activities also witnessed the presentation of a number of entrepreneurial projects by students of the College of Engineering Technology, implemented within the college under the supervision of their instructors. These projects reflected the advanced level of students’ practical and creative skills. An exhibition of projects was inaugurated, featuring various presentations, in addition to organizing scientific competitions for participating students, aiming to enhance the spirit of competition and innovation. At the conclusion of the second day’s activities, participating students and faculty members were honored with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their efforts and active contribution to the success of the week’s events. Commemorative photos were also taken on this occasion. These activities come in line with the vision of Al-Mustaqbal University and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to create a university environment that fosters creativity and innovation, and to strengthen the role of academic institutions in preparing cadres capable of keeping pace with labor market requirements and achieving sustainable development.
