Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the Women’s Affairs Division, in collaboration with the College of Health and Medical Techniques / Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques, organized an awareness workshop titled “Women and Their Role in Combating Climate Change”, presented by Ms. Anssam Fadel and Ms. Tabarak Ahmed, on Monday, February 9, 2026. The workshop was part of the fifth session titled “Climate Change and Its Associated Risks”, focusing on explaining the concept of climate change and its main causes, whether natural or resulting from human activities. It highlighted its impacts, including rising temperatures, water scarcity, increased droughts, floods, and storms, as well as its health, social, and economic consequences for communities. The workshop emphasized the pivotal role of women in addressing these challenges by promoting environmental awareness, fostering sustainable practices within families and communities, and actively participating in environmental initiatives aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change, thereby contributing to a more conscious and responsible society toward environmental and sustainable development issues.
