The College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a field awareness campaign entitled (Combating Intellectual Extremism) on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Dentistry and with the participation of faculty members and teaching assistants. The campaign was conducted as part of the College’s efforts to promote intellectual awareness and reinforce a culture of moderation and rejection of violence within the university community. The campaign aimed to highlight that intellectual extremism represents one of the indirect forms of terrorism, as it promotes exclusionary ideologies that undermine social stability and fuel division and hatred. It also sought to raise awareness among students and staff about the dangers of radical rhetoric and the importance of adopting balanced, conscious thinking based on dialogue, acceptance of others, and respect for diversity. The initiative included the distribution of informational brochures addressing the concept of extremism, its causes, consequences, and preventive measures, in addition to conducting direct awareness dialogues with faculty members and students throughout the College premises. The campaign witnessed positive engagement, reflecting the academic community’s awareness of the importance of confronting extremist ideas and strengthening intellectual security. This initiative forms part of a series of awareness activities organized by the College Deanship in support of its educational and societal mission, reaffirming its commitment to promoting a safe and intellectually stable university environment.
