In line with the policy of scientific openness toward Arab and international universities, and within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed between Al-Mustaqbal University and Mansoura University in the Arab Republic of Egypt, a student delegation from the Colleges of Medicine and Technical Engineering participated in a short summer training program held at Mansoura University from August 16 to August 23, 2025.
Upon the delegation’s return and completion of the training activities, the students were received by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the Technical Engineering College.
Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd played a pivotal role in supporting and supervising the participation of the Technical Engineering College students. His role included coordinating their involvement in specialized scientific workshops, guiding them to maximize benefit from academic visits—particularly in the fields of solar energy, artificial intelligence, communications, and electrical circuits—and encouraging active engagement with research laboratories and technology companies. He also provided continuous academic and moral support, urging students to transfer the knowledge and experience gained to their peers at the college.
The program included several scientific visits, notably to the Vertebrate Paleontology Center at the Faculty of Science, the Enطلاق (Entlaq) Telecommunications Technology Company laboratory, as well as laboratories of biochemistry, anatomy, stem cells, and medical research, where students were introduced to the latest analytical equipment and technologies and attended applied presentations delivered by researchers and academics.
The delegation also visited advanced medical centers, including the Nephrology and Urology Center, one of the largest in the Middle East, and the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Center, where students explored modern medical technologies through interactive field tours with physicians and specialists.
On the cultural and recreational side, the students visited the Permanent Camp in جمصة (Gamasa), in addition to a recreational trip to Ras El-Bar and a city tour in Mansoura, aiming to enhance cultural exchange and strengthen ties with Egyptian students.
Students of the Technical Engineering College expressed their appreciation for the support provided by the Dean of the College, affirming that this participation represented a rich scientific and research experience that contributed to developing their practical skills, broadening their academic and professional horizons, and enhancing their competitive capabilities.
Al-Mustaqbal University is ranked first among private universities in Iraq.
