Following the official directive from the Presidency of University of Al-Mustaqbal / Scientific and Academic Supervision, and in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s guidance on observing the International Day Against Violent Extremism, the Dean of the College of Engineering organized an educational awareness activity on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, titled “No to Violent Extremism… Yes to a Safe University”. The initiative was part of the college’s psychological guidance and student counseling programs. The activity addressed the dangers of violent extremism and its negative effects on individuals and society, emphasizing the importance of intellectual awareness in protecting students, fostering a culture of dialogue, and promoting respect for diversity. These efforts contribute to creating a safe and stable university environment while reinforcing values of belonging and individual and social responsibility. This initiative was implemented in accordance with official directives and as part of supporting intellectual security and societal stability. It aligns with the sixteenth Sustainable Development Goal (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and reflects the College of Engineering’s commitment to preparing students who are aware, responsible, and capable of addressing intellectual and societal challenges.
