Following the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and based on the official letter issued by the Presidency of University of Al-Mustaqbal / Scientific and Academic Supervision regarding the International Day Against Violent Extremism, the staff of the College of Engineering conducted an awareness campaign on Thursday, February 13, 2026, titled “Conscious Youth… A University Free of Extremism”. The campaign is part of the college’s intellectual awareness programs aimed at protecting students and strengthening intellectual security within the university environment. The campaign aimed to clarify the concept of ideological extremism and its risks to individuals and society, outline its methods and ways of prevention, and emphasize the importance of dialogue, tolerance, and acceptance of others. It also encouraged conscious critical thinking as the first line of defense against intellectual deviation, thereby promoting a safe and stable educational environment. This campaign is part of a series of awareness activities implemented by the College of Engineering in accordance with official directives. It aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and Goal 4 (Quality Education) by instilling values of moderation, responsibility, and positivity within the university community. University of Al-Mustaqbal – the first university in Iraq
