On Wednesday, 18-2-2026, the College of Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University held the first session of the Industrial Advisory Council, chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Shaker Majdi, and attended by council members representing various industrial sectors, along with several heads of academic departments.
This session was conducted as part of the College’s strategic direction toward strengthening partnerships with the labor market and activating the role of industrial expertise in the development of academic programs, in alignment with quality assurance standards and institutional accreditation requirements.
The session included discussion of the following key themes:
Aligning academic curricula with labor market needs.
Developing summer training and field training programs.
Supporting graduation projects with strong practical and applied dimensions.
The Dean emphasized that the formation of the Industrial Advisory Council represents a strategic step toward achieving integration between the academic and practical aspects of engineering education. He noted that it contributes to enhancing the efficiency of educational outcomes, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Sustainable Development Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
This meeting comes within the College’s continuous improvement plan, reinforcing its academic standing and strengthening its role in serving the community and promoting sustainable development.
