Digital Transformation… Our Confident Step Toward a “Global Smart University”

The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, chaired an expanded meeting attended by the Vice Presidents, Deans of Colleges and their assistants, Heads of Academic Departments, and representatives of Information Technology. The meeting aimed to develop a comprehensive roadmap to strengthen the university’s position as an advanced digital academic institution that keeps pace with global standards in administration and education. The meeting featured an integrated review of the digital transformation axes. Assistant Professor Dr. Amin Kitab, Director of Student Affairs, delivered a detailed presentation on the advanced HEPIQ software for student information management, as well as the IQ-Learning platform approved by the Ministry. He emphasized the importance of launching a comprehensive training program for college staff to ensure efficient implementation and optimal utilization of digital systems in support of the educational process. Within the axis of academic and research platforms, Lecturer Ali Ubaid from the Information Technology Department provided a thorough explanation of platforms for managing research, scientific activities, and laboratories, in addition to the Electronic Workload Platform for faculty members. These platforms contribute to simplifying administrative procedures and enhancing academic performance efficiency within an integrated digital ecosystem. In the same context, Engineer Wameed Diaa, the official responsible for the university’s website, reviewed the mechanisms for developing and continuously updating the official website and publishing scientific activities on a regular basis, thereby strengthening digital presence and consolidating the university’s standing in the global academic space. The University President praised the efforts exerted in developing these software systems, commending the role of the Deanship of the College of Engineering Technologies, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen, in overseeing implementation. He also stressed the importance of direct supervision by college deanships in applying modern technologies, adopting artificial intelligence applications in administration and education, and developing the capabilities of staff and unit managers to keep pace with rapid technological advancement. Al-Mustaqbal University is ranked first among private universities.
