This pioneering academic step marks a first-of-its-kind initiative in Iraq and comes within the framework of activating the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two institutions and strengthening prospects for joint scientific collaboration. The launch includes a Master’s program in Public International Law and a Master’s program in Administrative Law. The accreditation of both programs is the result of a series of meetings and reciprocal visits between the two universities, culminating in the signing of a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding for academic and research cooperation, reflecting the depth of the strategic partnership between the two institutions. In this context, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, received a high-level delegation from Mansoura University that included Professor Dr. Walid Al-Shennawi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Professor Dr. Ibrahim Abdullah Abdel-Raouf, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research. The University President welcomed the visiting delegation and emphasized the importance of this step in supporting the development of legal education in Iraq and enhancing opportunities for academic and research exchange between the two universities. The launch ceremony was attended by distinguished faculty members from the College of Law, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in the newly introduced programs, in an academic atmosphere reflecting the significance and distinction of the event. The ceremony featured official speeches expressing pride in this qualitative initiative. On behalf of the University Presidency, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, delivered a speech. This was followed by remarks from Professor Dr. Ammar Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University, and a speech delivered by Professor Dr. Walid Al-Shennawi on behalf of the Egyptian delegation. The speakers affirmed that the launch of these two programs represents a pivotal milestone in the internationalization of higher education in Iraq, as they constitute the first initiative of their kind in the field of advanced legal studies in partnership with a well-established Arab university. They stressed the importance of adhering to the highest international academic standards and preparing qualified legal professionals capable of contributing to the development of the legal system at both national and international levels. With this achievement, Al-Mustaqbal University continues to consolidate its position as a proactive academic institution committed to building strategic partnerships that enhance the quality of its programs and open broader horizons of excellence and leadership for its students
