The College of Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University held its regular council session today, Wednesday, 18-2-2026, with the presence of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Shaker Majdi, council members, representatives of employers from industrial sectors, and the student representative in the council.
This participation was part of efforts to strengthen the principle of community partnership and link educational outcomes to the labor market. The council discussed several important topics, including:
• Aligning curricula with labor market needs.
• Developing students’ practical skills and enhancing field training.
• Listening to employers’ feedback regarding graduates’ competencies.
• Presenting suggestions from the student representative regarding the educational environment and student services.
• Mechanisms for updating curricula in accordance with quality and accreditation requirements.
The Dean emphasized that involving employers and the student representative in council meetings reflects the College’s commitment to good governance and transparency, and enhances the quality of the educational process in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
This step is part of institutional accreditation requirements and continuous improvement programs, contributing to the preparation of engineers with the scientific and practical competencies needed to serve society effectively.
