On the morning of Sunday, 25/1/2026, and as part of the activities of Quality Education Week (SDG 4), the “Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Forum” was launched. The forum was organized by the Future Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications in collaboration with the Arab Scientific Research Councils, under the patronage and in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The event witnessed the participation of a distinguished group of academics and experts from Iraqi universities and institutions. The forum focused on the pivotal role of artificial intelligence and digital transformation in supporting development pathways, enhancing decision-making mechanisms, and building modern institutions capable of keeping pace with rapid changes. In the opening speech delivered on behalf of the University Presidency, Professor Dr. Nidal Al-Abbadi, Director of the Future Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, emphasized that universities represent the primary driver of this transformation through scientific research, capacity building, and linking knowledge with practical application. The forum included three interactive scientific sessions that addressed key issues, including the use of artificial intelligence in decision-making, digital transformation strategies and their associated challenges, as well as cybersecurity requirements amid the rapid expansion of AI technologies. The sessions were characterized by rigorous academic presentations and in-depth discussions reflecting the participants’ academic and professional expertise, aiming to assess current realities and explore future development prospects. The forum also featured a recorded speech by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, in which he praised Al-Mustaqbal University’s initiative in organizing this scientific event.
