Digital Transformation… Our Confident Step Toward a “Global Smart University”

The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, chaired an expanded meeting that brought together the Vice Presidents, Deans and their Assistants, Heads of Academic Departments, and representatives of the Information Technology units. The meeting aimed to establish a comprehensive roadmap to strengthen the university’s position as an advanced digital academic institution aligned with global standards in administration and education. The meeting included a comprehensive review of the digital transformation framework. Assistant Professor Dr. Amin Kitab, Director of Student Affairs, delivered a detailed presentation on the advanced HEPIQ software for student information management and the Ministry-approved IQ-Learning platform. He emphasized the importance of launching an integrated training program for college staff to ensure efficient implementation and optimal utilization of digital systems in supporting the educational process. In the area of academic and research platforms, Lecturer Ali Ubaid from the Information Technology Department provided a thorough explanation of the platforms used to manage research activities, scientific events, and laboratories, in addition to the “Electronic Teaching Load” platform for faculty members. These systems aim to simplify administrative procedures and enhance academic performance within a fully integrated digital framework. Engineer Wameed Diaa, the University Website Administrator, also reviewed mechanisms for developing and regularly updating the official university website and publishing scientific activities, thereby strengthening the university’s digital presence and reinforcing its position within the global academic community. The meeting also witnessed active participation from the College of Nursing, represented by the Dean of the College and the college’s software officers, reaffirming the college’s commitment to implementing digital transformation systems and ensuring technical and administrative integration in alignment with the university’s vision of building a smart and advanced educational environment. The University President commended the efforts exerted in developing these software systems, praising the role of the Deanship of the College of Engineering Technologies, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen, in overseeing the implementation process. He stressed the importance of direct supervision by the deanships in applying modern technologies, adopting artificial intelligence applications in administration and education, and continuously developing the capabilities of staff members and unit administrators to keep pace with rapid technological advancements.
