As part of its efforts to consolidate scientific cooperation and expand partnership horizons between public and private higher education institutions, Al-Mustaqbal University has concluded a joint scientific Memorandum of Understanding with Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and in embodiment of the University’s vision to strengthen institutional academic openness and build effective strategic relations. The memorandum was signed during an official visit by a delegation from Al-Mustaqbal University headed by Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The delegation included the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, the Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Dulaimi, in addition to representatives of the Cultural Relations Office. Dr. Haider Al-Dulaimi played an active role in discussing prospects for academic cooperation and the development of joint programs. The delegation was received by the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif, along with a number of his assistants and academic leaders. The meetings addressed ways to enhance research cooperation, coordinate areas of common interest, and work on launching qualitative initiatives that embody the concept of the “productive university” through science and technology parks and technological incubators. The Memorandum of Understanding covers multiple fields, most notably the implementation of joint scientific research, organizing and participating in conferences, seminars, and workshops, exchanging academic visits, joint supervision of postgraduate students, benefiting from accumulated expertise in achieving sustainable development goals, developing faculty members’ capacities, providing summer training opportunities for students, and updating curricula, in a manner that supports the quality of higher education and achieves sustainable scientific and developmental impact.
