The Council of the College of Education held its seventh session on Sunday morning, 22/2/2026, chaired by the Dean of the College of Education, Professor Dr. Ahmed Rodhan Salman, and attended by all council members, including the Assistant Deans and Heads of Scientific Departments, in an academic atmosphere characterized by cooperation and a high sense of responsibility.
The session began with discussing a number of strategic issues aimed at advancing the educational process and strengthening the academic standing of the college. The council reviewed a proposal to establish several new scientific departments, including the Department of Mathematics, Department of Arabic Language, Department of Chemistry, and Department of Computer Science, in response to labor market needs and to expand the range of specializations available to students. The council also emphasized the importance of providing the necessary infrastructure and qualified academic staff to ensure a solid launch of these departments in accordance with quality assurance and academic accreditation standards.
The council also addressed preparations for the semester examinations for first-year students, stressing the need to prepare examination halls and provide a suitable environment to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of exams, while emphasizing adherence to examination regulations to guarantee fairness and transparency for all students.
In a related context, the council discussed student tuition payments, emphasizing the importance of considering humanitarian and social aspects and providing possible facilities within the applicable regulations, in order to support students and enable them to continue their academic journey without obstacles.
The session concluded by affirming the importance of teamwork and strengthening coordination between the Dean’s Office and the scientific departments, contributing to achieving the desired academic and educational goals and consolidating the College of Education’s position as a leading educational institution serving the community and building academically qualified and aware generations.
