On the occasion of the International Day of the Girl, the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries organized an awareness activity represented by issuing an educational brochure aimed at highlighting the importance of empowering girls and strengthening their role in scientific and engineering fields.
The brochure included several themes focusing on supporting girls’ participation in scientific disciplines, particularly chemical engineering and petroleum industries, and encouraging them to develop their academic and professional skills. It also showcased successful female role models in the fields of science, energy, and industry, reinforcing a culture of confidence, excellence, and innovation.
This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5 (Gender Equality) by promoting the empowerment of girls and ensuring equal educational opportunities, as well as Goal 4 (Quality Education) through supporting inclusive and equitable education and lifelong learning opportunities for all. Through this activity, the department reaffirms its commitment to supporting young talents and fostering an educational environment that contributes to building a more just and sustainable society.
