As part of his ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure and enhance the institutional environment, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, inaugurated the new University Council Hall, designed and implemented in accordance with the highest internationally recognized standards in architectural design and technological equipment. The hall aligns with the requirements of modern university governance and enhances the efficiency of administrative work and academic decision-making.
The inauguration coincided with the convening of the seventh session of the University Council for the 2025–2026 academic year.
At the beginning of the session, the University President extended his congratulations to the Council members—and through them to all faculty members, staff, and students of the University—on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. He emphasized that the opening of the Council Hall comes within a comprehensive strategic vision aimed at advancing the infrastructure that supports academic and administrative work, in line with institutional accreditation requirements and international standards.
In this context, the President issued several general directives focusing on enhancing the quality of education, supporting scientific research, accelerating digital transformation and clean energy initiatives, and expanding academic partnerships locally and internationally. He also stressed the importance of highlighting the University’s achievements on digital and professional platforms.
He commended the accomplishments achieved by the University’s colleges and departments, particularly the College of Pharmacy’s attainment of American accreditation, the Mechanical Power Techniques Department’s leading position in programmatic ranking at the national level in Iraq, as well as the advanced rankings achieved by other departments in the national classification.
The meeting also reviewed the key scientific activities and events planned for the upcoming period, including scientific conferences and international participations, in addition to following up on institutional and programmatic accreditation requirements and the procedures undertaken by colleges and academic departments. The Council further discussed the status of the semester examinations.
At the conclusion of the session, the University Council addressed the items listed on the agenda and adopted the necessary decisions and recommendations, contributing to the continued advancement of the University and reinforcing its academic standing at both the national and international levels.
