As part of its programs aimed at developing practical education, the Department of Radiological Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies organized a field scientific visit to Merjan Teaching Hospital. The visit was part of the department’s scientific activities designed to link theoretical study with practical application.
The visit aimed to familiarize students with modern medical devices used in radiology departments, understand their operational mechanisms, and recognize their essential role in diagnosing medical cases, in addition to learning about the health services provided to patients. The visit included a guided tour of several specialized units, during which students received detailed explanations about the applied techniques, correct operational procedures, and occupational safety requirements within healthcare institutions.
These visits contribute to developing students’ professional skills, enhancing their practical experience, and preparing them for effective integration into future work environments, positively impacting the quality of health services provided to the community. The visit also aligns with the Fourth Sustainable Development Goal (Quality Education) by supporting applied learning and improving the efficiency of educational outcomes in the health sector.
