In the presence of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al Mustaqbal University, the activities of the 2026 Information Bank Competition concluded on the evening of Tuesday, February 24, 2026. The event was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Apparatus, organized by the Department of Student Activities, and hosted by Al Mustaqbal University as part of its ongoing support for purposeful student activities and its commitment to strengthening academic engagement across Iraq. The competition witnessed wide participation, with 58 public and private universities from various Iraqi provinces taking part. The activities were held from February 22–24, 2026, where university teams competed in two days of intensive rounds under the supervision of the ministerial committee, in a scientific atmosphere characterized by seriousness and a strong spirit of sportsmanship. The final results were as follows: Al-Sibtain University for Medical Sciences – First Place Al Mustaqbal University – Second Place University of Wasit – Third Place At the conclusion of the event, the President of Al Mustaqbal University expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the participating universities, the ministerial committee members, and the organizing committees for their efforts in ensuring the success of this distinguished scientific event. He also congratulated the winning teams, praising the commendable performance of all participants and the high scientific level they demonstrated, reflecting deep knowledge and a spirit of positive competition. He affirmed that hosting this competition aligns with the university’s vision of fostering an environment that encourages creativity and constructive scientific competition, promotes knowledge culture, and develops students’ intellectual capabilities. This, he noted, is in harmony with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s direction to support young talents, refine their skills, and instill values of excellence and innovation. The Information Bank Competition is considered one of the most prominent academic student events in Iraq, contributing to nurturing a spirit of positive competition among university students and enhancing their intellectual and cultural presence — thereby positively impacting their academic journey and professional future.
