A specialized scientific workshop titled "Equality Starts with Me" was held on February 19th, presented by Asst. Lecturer Fatima Basim Yassin. The workshop featured an analytical study of the concept of equality as a human and institutional value, exploring ways to promote principles of parity and justice within the workplace and the academic community. The session explored several scientific pillars, most notably the individual's role in adopting a culture of fairness, and strategies for dismantling cognitive biases to ensure an inclusive educational and professional environment. Additionally, it highlighted the behavioral tools necessary to empower individuals to play a leading role in achieving social justice, emphasizing that equality is a fundamental cornerstone in the architecture of civilized development and institutional excellence. The event concluded with an open discussion and the presentation of methodological recommendations aimed at fostering values of mutual respect. This initiative aligns with Goal 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals (Gender Equality), by promoting individual empowerment and ensuring effective participation in all fields.
