As part of its strategic direction to expand scientific and academic cooperation and strengthen institutional partnerships, Al-Mustaqbal University signed a joint scientific and academic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al-Nahrain University, in alignment with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University Presidency’s vision to enhance integration between public and private universities and promote the exchange of expertise.
The MoU was signed during an official visit by a delegation from Al-Mustaqbal University headed by the University President, Professor Hassan Shaker Majdi. The delegation included Professor Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; Professor Mohsen Abdul Ali, Educational Advisor; and Dr. Sameer Badrawi, Director of Cultural Relations.
The delegation was received by the President of Al-Nahrain University, Professor Ali Abdulaziz Al-Shawi, along with the university’s vice presidents and several college deans. The meeting focused on exploring prospects for joint scientific research and strengthening academic collaboration.
The signing ceremony included the screening of two documentary films: one about Al-Mustaqbal University and another about Al-Mustaqbal Teaching Hospital, highlighting the institution’s achievements and its role in supporting education, training, and community service.
The MoU covers several key areas, including conducting joint scientific research, participation in conferences, seminars, and workshops, academic exchange visits, joint supervision of postgraduate students, faculty capacity building, summer training programs for students, and curriculum development—contributing to the enhancement of higher education quality and achieving sustainable scientific and developmental impact.
