The Department of Biochemistry at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop entitled "Biochemical Degradation", aiming to enhance students’ understanding of biochemical reactions and the analysis of chemical compounds within living organisms. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Asil Amer Hadi and Dr. Karar Majid Abid, who delivered both theoretical and practical lectures covering the fundamentals of biochemical degradation and its significance in various biological processes.
The workshop included detailed explanations of the mechanisms of protein, carbohydrate, and lipid degradation, as well as the practical applications of these processes in medical diagnostics and scientific research. Students also participated in hands-on laboratory exercises to apply biochemical analysis techniques, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of biochemical reactions and how to measure them in laboratory settings.
The organizers emphasized the importance of such activities in developing students’ practical skills and their ability to apply theoretical concepts in laboratory work, which contributes to raising the standard of practical education in the Department of Biochemistry. Attendees praised the workshop for expanding scientific knowledge and encouraging research and innovation in the medical and chemical fields.
This workshop reflects the commitment of Al-Mustaqbal University, the leading private university in Iraq
