Seed plants are the most advanced and widespread plants on Earth, characterized by producing seeds that contain a plant embryo surrounded by a protective layer providing nourishment and protection. Seeds allow plants to survive unfavorable conditions for long periods, increasing survival and distribution chances. Seed plants are divided into two main groups: gymnosperms, such as pine trees, and angiosperms, such as flowering plants. Seed plants possess advanced organs such as roots for water absorption, stems for transport, and leaves for photosynthesis. They also have advanced reproductive systems involving flowers and fruits, increasing reproductive efficiency and distribution. Seed plants play a fundamental role in human life by providing food such as grains, fruits, and vegetables, as well as timber and medicinal resources. They also contribute to environmental stability by producing oxygen, regulating climate, and supporting wildlife.
