Achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) As part of supporting the practical aspects of education and strengthening integration between scientific departments, Professor Dr. Raad Shaker Abees, Head of the Radiology Department, paid an official visit to the Refraction Errors Laboratory at the Department of Optics Techniques – College of Health and Medical Technologies. During the visit, he reviewed the laboratory’s workflow and the modern equipment used in examining and diagnosing refractive errors, in addition to observing the practical training processes aimed at enhancing students’ clinical competencies. A practical vision examination was also conducted under the supervision of Mr. Hassan Qahtan, during which the scientific procedures adopted in assessing visual acuity and diagnosing cases according to approved academic standards were demonstrated. Professor Dr. Raad Shaker Abees emphasized the importance of specialized laboratories in refining students’ skills and strengthening their practical abilities. He also praised the laboratory’s academic and organizational standards, as well as the efforts made by the teaching staff to develop the educational environment. This visit comes within the university’s commitment to supporting the quality of medical and technical education and advancing both academic and practical standards in line with accreditation requirements and the enhancement of educational outcomes.
