Ecology is the science that studies the complex relationships between living organisms and their environment, aiming to understand how to maintain the natural balance of ecosystems. It examines the impact of human activities such as deforestation, pollution, urban expansion, and overfishing on biodiversity and resource sustainability. Ecology helps develop effective strategies to conserve natural resources, such as forest management, protecting nature reserves, environmental rehabilitation of degraded areas, and continuous monitoring of environmental changes. Through the study of ecology, ways to sustainably adapt to climate change and minimize human-induced damages can be identified. It also contributes to raising public awareness about the importance of biodiversity conservation and protecting water, soil, and clean air. Environmental sustainability is not only vital for nature but also for humans, ensuring food availability, potable water, and overall health for humans, animals, and plants. Ecology also includes the study of food chains, the role of predators and producers, and vital processes such as decomposition and natural chemical recycling.
