In Achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) has achieved a remarkable academic milestone by ranking first among private universities in Iraq and sixth out of 76 public and private Iraqi universities included in the classification, according to the 2026 results of the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR). This accomplishment clearly reflects the university’s rapid progress in academic and research performance and the consolidation of its position within the higher education system. The SCImago ranking is considered one of the most prominent international classifications that assess the performance of universities and research institutions based on objective criteria, including research output, innovation, and societal impact, relying on reputable global scientific databases. At the level of academic disciplines and subject areas, the university demonstrated a distinguished presence by achieving advanced rankings among Iraqi universities as follows: Mechanical Engineering: First Place Construction and Building Engineering: First Place Business Administration and Accounting: Second Place In this regard, the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, affirmed that this achievement reflects the outcome of continuous institutional efforts in supporting scientific research, enhancing reputable publishing, and developing the academic environment. He noted that the university is moving forward with its strategy to advance its position in global rankings and strengthen its presence among leading universities at both regional and international levels.
