Asst. Lect. Fatima Haider Jassim, the web coordinator for the Department of Optometry at Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in the specialized training program titled "Developing Language and Media Skills for Website Coordinators". The program was held under the patronage and supervision of the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and organized by the Continuing Education Center.
The program was held under the slogan: "Towards Professional Academic Digital Content," aiming to develop the skills of staff in drafting media content according to solid linguistic and professional foundations. It focuses on enhancing the quality of digital publishing for academic institutions to keep pace with rapid developments in electronic media.
The training covered strategic axes, including digital content management, modern journalistic editing standards, and mechanisms for crafting engaging headlines. It also addressed utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in content editing and enhancing English writing skills to meet international academic publishing requirements.
The session witnessed active participation through practical applications on drafting university news and avoiding common editorial mistakes. Organizers emphasized that empowering web coordinators linguistically and professionally is a fundamental pillar for strengthening the university's institutional identity and showcasing its scientific activities professionally.
This participation is part of the Optometry Department's commitment to improving staff efficiency and developing its digital content. It aligns with Al-Mustaqbal University’s direction toward comprehensive digital transformation and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education.
