In line with achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 4 (Quality Education), Hamza Nader in the Department of Optic Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies organized an awareness workshop entitled “Laser Risks and Methods of Prevention.” The workshop aimed to spread scientific awareness about the safe use of laser devices in medical and cosmetic fields.
The workshop included an introduction to the different types of laser beams and their various applications, in addition to highlighting the potential risks resulting from improper use, especially their effects on the eyes and skin. It also presented several preventive guidelines and safety procedures that help reduce these risks, such as using protective goggles and adhering to occupational safety standards when dealing with laser devices.
The workshop witnessed active participation from the attendees through questions and scientific discussions aimed at enhancing health awareness and promoting the concept of the safe use of modern technologies.
