President of Al-Mustaqbal University Participates in the 6th Private Higher Education Council Session to Enhance Academic Quality Standards

The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, in his capacity as a member of the Private Higher Education Council, participated in the Council's 6th session hosted by Al-Zahraa University in Karbala on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Haider Abid Dhahad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education for Scientific Research Affairs, with the attendance of senior ministry officials and presidents of private universities.This participation was held under the slogan: "Towards Distinguished Higher Education Aligned with Fourth-Generation Standards," aiming to strengthen coordination between the Ministry and private educational institutions. The focus was on developing admission and registration mechanisms to ensure academic workflow and a competitive educational environment that meets global standards.The session addressed key strategic themes, most notably the establishment of medical colleges and ensuring they meet rigorous scientific requirements, alongside administrative and tax matters related to universities. The meeting praised the tangible scientific achievements of private universities and their active role in advancing Iraq's higher education sector.The University Presidency reaffirmed its commitment to adopting best educational practices to elevate students' academic attainment. Participants highlighted that these sessions serve as an effective platform for exchanging ideas and unifying visions for the future of education, ensuring graduates can keep pace with modern technical developments.This active participation is part of Al-Mustaqbal University's efforts to support academic excellence and improve quality outcomes, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4: Quality Education.
