Today, the world is witnessing rapid development in communication technologies, which has led to the expansion of the digital space and an increasing reliance on the Internet and modern communication tools in various aspects of life. With this advancement, the need for legal legislation to regulate the use of these technologies and protect the rights of individuals and institutions has emerged. Telecommunications laws contribute to establishing the legal frameworks that regulate the work of telecommunications companies and internet service providers. They also help protect users’ privacy and ensure the security of information transmitted through networks. In addition, these laws assist in reducing cybercrimes such as hacking, digital fraud, and privacy violations. Academic institutions, including the Department of Communication Technologies, play an important role in raising students’ awareness of the legal aspects related to the use of technology and the digital space, and in enhancing their understanding of how to use communication technologies responsibly and safely in accordance with the laws and regulations governing this field. The integration of technical knowledge and legal awareness contributes to building a generation capable of dealing with digital development consciously and responsibly. It also helps in achieving a secure digital environment that serves society and supports the progress of scientific and technological advancement.
