Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Rodhan Salman, and under the supervision of the Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college, Prof. Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din Abdullah, the Head of the Women’s Affairs Committee in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, Lecturer Farqan Qasim Kadhim, delivered an awareness lecture for first-year students of the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences entitled: “Promoting Positive Culture on the Importance of Women.” The lecture was held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in Hall 108 on the third floor of the Humanities Building. The lecture was attended by the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Abdul Salam Jawdat, along with a number of faculty members from the department. The lecture discussed the importance and necessity of promoting a positive culture regarding the role and importance of women, considering that women represent half of society. Women play vital roles as mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters, which requires empowering them with a high level of awareness and positive cultural understanding in all aspects of life. This activity was part of implementing the National Strategy to Combat Violence Against Women and Girls 2026, specifically within the second axis, paragraph two.
