The College of Education at Al-Mustaqbal University held a coordination meeting between the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit and the Women’s Affairs Unit in the presence of the Dean of the College of Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Roudhan Salman. The meeting was chaired by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs at the College of Education, Lecturer Hussein Munir Abdulzahra, and included the participation of the Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahauddin Abdullah, along with members of both units.
During the meeting, the participants reviewed the implementation rates of the annual plans of the two units and discussed mechanisms for developing programs and activities that enhance their role in supporting the university environment and providing counseling and awareness services for students. The discussion also addressed ways to activate initiatives that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, by promoting educational and psychological awareness and creating a supportive and motivating learning environment.
The meeting also covered preparations for Sustainability Week, emphasizing the importance of organizing awareness events and scientific and cultural activities that highlight the concepts of sustainability and their role in supporting the educational process and developing students’ capacities, in addition to strengthening the culture of community participation within the university campus.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs stressed the importance of intensifying efforts and maintaining continuous coordination between the various units of the college in order to advance institutional work and achieve educational and scientific objectives that align with the college’s vision and mission in serving the community and building a conscious generation capable of contributing to sustainable development.
