In the spirit of strengthening social solidarity and reinforcing humanitarian values during the holy month of Ramadan, Professor Dr. Saad Abdul Madi and Assistant Professor Dr. Thamer Abdul Hamza Mohammed Al-Alwani, with the participation of a group of college students, organized a humanitarian initiative to distribute food baskets to a number of underprivileged families on Tuesday, March 10. The initiative aimed to support families in need and alleviate some of the living burdens they face during the blessed month, in addition to promoting a culture of volunteerism and strengthening students’ sense of social responsibility. The activity witnessed positive engagement from the participating students, who expressed their happiness at contributing to community service and taking part in humanitarian work. They emphasized that such initiatives embody the values of cooperation and compassion that characterize the holy month of Ramadan. This activity comes as part of a series of community initiatives through which the college’s faculty members and students seek to enhance the role of the academic institution in serving society and promoting the principles of human solidarity.
