Embodying the slogan "Green University.. Sustainable Environment," and in celebration of National Afforestation Week in Iraq, the College of Nursing at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a comprehensive voluntary tree-planting campaign across the campus corridors on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
Planting with a Spirit of Community
The campaign was held under the auspices of Al-Mustaqbal University Presidency and the direct supervision of the Deanship of the College of Nursing. It witnessed active and vibrant participation from students who took the initiative to plant 65 trees in strategic locations throughout the campus, transforming academic walkways into lush, life-filled green spaces.
The initiative was not limited to visual enhancement but focused on several core pillars:
Environmental Awareness: Contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions and improving air quality on campus.
Student Identity: Fostering a sense of social responsibility and a culture of volunteerism among nursing students.
Sustainability: Supporting national efforts to increase vegetation cover in the face of climate change.
"This campaign is a true reflection of our college's mission; our students, who learn to care for humanity, are proving today their competence in caring for the Earth and the environment, reinforcing Al-Mustaqbal University's position as a leading scientific and environmental institution."
Al-Mustaqbal University continues its commitment to initiatives that serve the community, emphasizing that its students are the primary foundation for building a more beautiful and greener future.
