Coinciding with the farewell of the blessed month of Ramadan, 15/3/2026 the College of Dentistry at Al‑Mustaqbal University organized a student activity represented by a Qur’anic Recitation Competition for students from the university’s colleges and departments. The event was held under the patronage of the University President, Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Athraa Yahya Al‑Hijjazi. The event was attended by a number of faculty members from various colleges and departments, in addition to a large gathering of students. The competition was hosted at the College of Dentistry building with the participation of 15 male and female contestants representing different colleges of the university, creating a distinctive spiritual and cultural atmosphere. The judging panel consisted of several university faculty members: Dr. Fawzi Al-Ta’i – College of Administrative Sciences Dr. Hashem Sihoud – College of Education Dr. Hamza Alawi – College of Fine Arts Dr. Walid Jassim Al-Zubaidi – College of Dentistry At the beginning of the event, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Athraa Yahya Al-Hijjazi, delivered a welcoming speech in which she emphasized the college’s commitment to organizing scientific and cultural activities that contribute to developing students’ skills and strengthening religious and cultural values. Dr. Hassan Khalid, Assistant Dean, also delivered a speech highlighting the college’s key initiatives in the field of sustainable development and its role in supporting student-led initiatives. At the conclusion of the competition, the judging committee announced the names of the winners. First place was awarded to Zainab Mohammed Hussein from the College of Dentistry, second place went to Zahraa Raed Mohsen from the College of Dentistry, while third place was secured by Mohammed Firas Rateb.
