Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the university inaugurated the Agricultural Research Station on its campus in conjunction with the activities of the National Afforestation Day, in a step that reflects the university’s commitment to promoting applied scientific research and supporting pathways toward sustainable agricultural development. The establishment of the Agricultural Research Station came under the supervision of the Diwan Affairs Department, with the aim of conducting applied studies and practical field experiments that contribute to improving agricultural production and enhancing the efficiency of natural resource utilization. The station represents an effective link between theoretical scientific research and practical application in agricultural fields. The station works on designing and implementing agricultural experiments according to precise scientific methodologies. These include studies aimed at improving crop varieties, evaluating modern agricultural technologies, managing soil and water resources, controlling pests and plant diseases, and developing sustainable farming systems. The station also relies on advanced experimental methodologies and statistical designs to ensure the accuracy of scientific results and their applicability in real agricultural environments. It is worth noting that the research station consists of several specialized scientific and research units, including experimental fields, greenhouses, and laboratories dedicated to soil, water, and plant analysis, in addition to units for seed propagation and plant breeding improvement. During the inauguration ceremony, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, emphasized that establishing this station represents a strategic step in Al-Mustaqbal University’s journey toward employing scientific research in the service of society and strengthening food security. He noted that its opening in conjunction with the National Afforestation Day reflects the university’s commitment to supporting environmental initiatives and promoting a culture of sustainability and the preservation of natural resources. Through such scientific and environmental initiatives, Al-Mustaqbal University continues its role in building a knowledge-producing academic environment that contributes to the development of the agricultural sector and supports national efforts aimed at achieving sustainable development.
