The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, chaired the seventh session of the University Council, which was held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, on the university campus. The meeting was attended by the esteemed council members, including the assistants to the President and the deans of the colleges. A comprehensive agenda was discussed, focusing primarily on digital transformation and the quality of education.
At the beginning of the session, the President of the University emphasized the importance of adhering to the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Particular attention was given to the need to complete registration requirements on modern educational platforms such as 1Q Learning and SIS.
He called on council members to intensify their efforts to ensure the completion of this process effectively, guaranteeing that students benefit from the available digital resources.
The session also stressed the necessity of obtaining programmatic accreditation for all departments and academic programs, in accordance with the ministry’s directives and recognized accreditation standards. This process requires coordinated efforts among all colleges to achieve quality standards in higher education.
During the meeting, congratulations were extended to Professor Dr. Alaa Dhari on the occasion of obtaining the title of Professor, reflecting appreciation for the distinguished academic contributions made by faculty members at the university.
The council also discussed the activation of scientific and student activities, praising the active participation of students in various university events. The University President expressed his gratitude to the Academic Supervisor and the Diwan Affairs Department for their successful supervision of the National Afforestation Campaign, and extended his thanks to all colleges that contributed to the success of this initiative.
Within the framework of strengthening scientific research, the council approved the establishment of new scientific journals and the organization of academic conferences included in the agenda, representing an important step toward advancing the university’s academic standing.
The council also announced the adoption of the period from March 11 to March 16, 2026, for the annual celebration of the Fourth Sustainability Week and the anniversary of the university’s founding, with plans to organize events that highlight the university’s achievements and future programs.
Finally, the council approved summer training plans for students and faculty members in England, Egypt, and Turkey, according to the submitted programs. These initiatives are expected to contribute to developing participants’ skills and enhancing their practical experience.
