The Department of Aesthetic and Laser Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division at Al-Mustaqbal University, organized an awareness seminar titled “Women’s Leadership: Lady Zainab (Peace Be Upon Her) as a Role Model” on Sunday, 15/3/2026, in the college hall.
The seminar was attended by more than 30 students along with several faculty members. Asst. Lecturer Hayman Walid Mazloom delivered an engaging lecture highlighting the role of women in society and the importance of women’s leadership, presenting the personality of Lady Zainab (PBUH) as an inspiring model of patience, perseverance, and principled leadership.
This seminar was organized as part of the implementation of the National Strategy for Iraqi Women, particularly its first axis, and aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 5 on gender equality and women’s empowerment, under the framework of political empowerment and enhancing participation in decision-making.
The event aimed to raise awareness about the role of Iraqi women, highlight historical examples of female leadership, and encourage students to develop their leadership skills and actively contribute to serving their community.
