In a strategic step reflecting its commitment to advancing the higher education system, Al-Mustaqbal University organized an expanded symposium chaired by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, with the participation of senior leadership, faculty members, and staff across all units. The symposium aimed to review the requirements of digital transformation and programmatic accreditation, and to explore mechanisms for enhancing academic and administrative performance.
The President opened the symposium with a directive speech, extending his congratulations to the university community on the occasion of the approaching Eid Al-Fitr, and commending the achievements realized during the previous period, which were the result of integrated efforts among colleges, academic departments, and supporting units. He emphasized the importance of continuing a unified team spirit to achieve further institutional excellence and progress.
He also stressed the need to accelerate digital transformation, particularly in automating university operations and the educational process, in alignment with the electronic platforms approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in order to enhance academic management efficiency and improve the quality of digital education. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of empowering students as active partners in the university’s journey, while promoting a culture of respect and effective human communication within the academic community.
For his part, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, reviewed research performance indicators and evaluation plans for the 2025–2026 academic year, as well as mechanisms for activating academic cooperation agreements with local and international universities, contributing to strengthening the university’s scientific reputation and expanding its global presence.
He also addressed ongoing preparations for organizing the “Future Sustainability Week,” in addition to participation in the EURIE 2026 Summit in Istanbul, as an important international platform for exchanging expertise and enhancing the internationalization of higher education.
In the same context, the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, presented guidelines related to examination committees and mechanisms for organizing the examination process, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and transparency.
The symposium also included discussions on several key issues, including e-learning systems such as IQ-Learning and SIS, quality assurance and academic accreditation requirements, as well as the organization of teaching loads and salaries in accordance with modern digital systems.
This symposium is part of a series of developmental meetings adopted by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance institutional performance efficiency and to establish a modern educational environment based on quality and innovation, in line with the requirements of digital transformation in higher education.
